Wheaton North came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lake Park Lancers. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Wheaton North got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 25-21.

Leading Wheaton North to victory were Thant Zin and Trey Hubner. Zin had 17 digs and five assists, while Hubner had six digs, two aces, and one block. Those 17 digs gave Zin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Owen Hubner, who had 15 assists and two aces.

Despite the loss, Lake Park still got an impressive performance from Luke Bonacci, who had 14 digs and two aces.

Wheaton North's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-10. As for Lake Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-11.
