Basketball Game Preview: Lamar Consolidated Mustangs vs. St. Agnes Academy Tigers

Lamar Consolidated hasn't had much luck against St. Agnes Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mustangs will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

Lamar Consolidated is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 64 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Angleton on Friday. They were outmatched by the Wildcats and fell 64-12. The loss put an end to the Mustangs' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, St. Agnes Academy beat Friendswood 38-26 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lamar Consolidated fell to 2-1. As for St. Agnes Academy, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Lamar Consolidated took a serious blow against St. Agnes Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 50-18. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
