Volleyball Recap: Dayton Bulldogs vs. Rahway Indians
Dayton lost against Rahway back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 25-18 in the first set.
While Dayton ultimately came up short, they really made Rahway work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 18-25, 27-25, 25-15.
Rahway was led to victory by Jasmine Johnson and Noelia Haro Menza. Johnson had ten digs, two blocks, and two aces, while Haro Menza had 13 digs. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Rahway, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Coincidentally, Dayton and Rahway will both be playing Cranford the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will host the Cougars on Thursday, while the Indians will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
