Basketball Recap: Chandler Prep Comes Up Short

Chandler Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Phoenix Country Day Eagles, falling 73-21. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Grant Hopper and Marshawn Britt certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Hopper posted eight points and eight boards, while Britt scored four points and three steals. Britt is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Chandler Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Phoenix Country Day, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chandler Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Rancho Solano Prep at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Phoenix Country Day, they will host Horizon Honors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give Phoenix Country Day their first taste of in-conference action this season.
