Softball Recap: Channelview Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Channelview's offense. They came up short against the Caney Creek Panthers on Saturday, falling 10-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Falcons, who until this game were averaging three runs allowed.

With the loss, Channelview broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. As for Caney Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Channelview will face off against Galena Park at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. The Yellowjackets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Caney Creek, they will take on Brazosport at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
