            Softball Recap: West Linn Lions vs. Mountainside Mavericks        
        
		
        
        
            If West Linn was riding high  fresh off their  23-5 takedown of Aloha last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell  7-4 to the Mountainside Mavericks on Monday. The  matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
West Linn got a good showing from  Meadow Sanborn, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit.
 On the hitting side,  Meg Allen was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.  Kendall Atwood was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases.

With the  loss, West Linn broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2. As for Mountainside, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record  this season.
 West Linn will take on West Salem at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Mountainside, they will square off against Lake Oswego at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
