Baseball Recap: Preston Triumphs

While Preston's win against North Marion wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Huskies on Friday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Wyatt Moyer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Thaler, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Preston's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for North Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Preston will welcome Keyser at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Marion, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
