It was a good run, but Cascade Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Gig Harbor Tides by a score of 2-1.

Jenica Walling paced Cascade Christian's offense, picking up 16 kills. Walling got some help from Emma Compton and her 21 assists. Reese Mitterholzer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cascade Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Gig Harbor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Cascade Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Vashon Island on the 22nd. As for Gig Harbor, they will square off against Central Kitsap at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
