Baseball Game Preview: Queen's Grant Stallions vs. Langtree Charter Academy Lions

The Queen's Grant Stallions will venture away from home to challenge the Langtree Charter Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Queen's Grant has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Langtree Charter Academy will arrive with six straight wins.

Harley Murrell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Asher Dugdale also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

While Langtree Charter Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They never let Piedmont Community Charter get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Monday. Considering the Lions have won four games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Easton Roschke made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aiden Gelpke, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Napoli, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Langtree Charter Academy's record now sits at 6-0. As for Queen's Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Queen's Grant has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Langtree Charter Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Queen's Grant might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Langtree Charter Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. Can Queen's Grant avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
