Preview: Parsippany Redhawks vs. Morristown-Beard Crimson

The Parsippany Redhawks will head out on the road to take on the Morristown-Beard Crimson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Even though Parsippany has not done well against Whippany Park recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Parsippany came out on top against Whippany Park by a score of 60-51.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parsippany to victory, but perhaps none more so than Charlie Cordasco, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Cordasco scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Niedermaier, who scored 19 points.

Meanwhile, Morristown-Beard had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Boonton 61-44 on Tuesday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Morristown-Beard has managed all season.

Parsippany's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Morristown-Beard, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.

Parsippany didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Morristown-Beard in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 54-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parsippany since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
