Recap: Triton Hawks vs. Union Pines Vikings
Even though the Union Pines Vikings scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, the Triton Hawks still came out on top. Triton took down Union Pines 69-55. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, as Triton did.
Khaleb Worth continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Javon Cowan was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Union Pines' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylen Kyle, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Kiser, who scored six points along with four steals and four blocks.
Triton's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Union Pines, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
