On Friday, Plainview got the win against Madison Academy by a conclusive 49-27. Considering the Bears have won seven games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when St. John Paul II duked it out with Danville on Friday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 42-22 victory. The Falcons are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the third contest they've won by 20+ points this season.

St. John Paul II's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Plainview, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.

Everything came up roses for Plainview against St. John Paul II in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 54-10 win. In that matchup, the Bears amassed a halftime lead of 47-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
