Tennessee landed its third Class of 2019 commitment Wednesday morning in Josiah James of Porter-Gaud (Charleston), one of the highest-rated hardwood recruits South Carolina has ever produced.

Considered the No. 14 overall prospect in the senior class by 247Sports, the 6-foot-6 combo guard announced his decision live from his high school two weeks after wrapping up his official visit.

He also penned a story about his announcement for the Moultrie News.

Last season, James led Porter-Gaud to its third consecutive SCISA 3A state championship.

The 5-star guard gave Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes his highest-rated commitment since taking over the program in 2015, choosing the Volunteers over Clemson and Duke.
Josiah James landed over 20 offers, including powers like Arizona, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan State and Virginia.
