Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Florida State University High School's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Florida State University High School unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers by a score of 3-2. While the Seminoles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Buccaneers 25-16 in the first set.

Florida State University High School started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 16-25, 15-25, 25-18, 25-16, 18-16.

Despite the loss, Florida State University High School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mackenzie Taber had ten digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Taber.

Florida State University High School's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Florida State University High School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Arnold on the 4th. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Taylor County on the 6th.
