Soccer Recap: Mccutcheon Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

McCutcheon lost against Center Grove back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mavericks came up short against the Trojans, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, McCutcheon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Center Grove are ranked sixth).

McCutcheon's defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-8. As for Center Grove, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Coming up, McCutcheon will take on Tri-West Hendricks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. McCutcheon's defense better be ready for this one: Tri-West Hendricks have averaged an impressive 3.3 goals per game this season. As for Center Grove, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-0 victory against Jeffersonville on the 27th.
