Basketball Recap: Hemingway Gets the Win

Hemingway won the last time they faced Lake View and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hemingway Tigers walked away with a 50-43 win over the Lake View Wild Gators.

Hemingway can attribute much of their success to Jabari Pearson, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Nasir Brooks, who put up 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Lake View lost, don't look at Timothy Waters. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Waters a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrence Alford, who earned 14 points.

Hemingway's record now sits at 5-12. As for Lake View, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Hemingway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 71-62 loss against Carvers Bay on the 7th. As for Lake View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-36 defeat against Green Sea Floyds on the 7th.
