Baseball Recap: J.P. Stevens Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Amboy on Friday, J.P. Stevens came back down to earth. The Hawks fell just short of the Governors by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Governors earlier this season, when they won 12-3.

J.P. Stevens dropped their record down to 4-9 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for South Amboy, they moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. J.P. Stevens will head out to challenge Piscataway at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Amboy, they will venture away from home to take on North Plainfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
