Basketball Recap: Prairie Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prairie). They claimed a resounding 96-50 win over the Western Dubuque Bobcats. The Hawks' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Prairie's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Western Dubuque, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie will take on Waterloo West in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Prairie is facing Waterloo West at the right time seeing as Waterloo West is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Western Dubuque, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cedar Falls at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
