Baseball Recap: Crossings Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hennessey last Monday, Crossings Christian came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Crossings Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Robison, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Robison also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

With the loss, Crossings Christian broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-10. As for Hennessey, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Crossings Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Anadarko at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hennessey, they will venture away from home to challenge Lomega at 12:00 p.m. on the 18th.
