Baseball Recap: Harbor Creek Wins Going Away Against Warren

Harbor Creek came out on top against Warren on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Dragons. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Aidan Vaughn made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tobias Vahey, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Maddox Vaughn also deserves some recognition as he hit his first doubles of the season.

Harbor Creek pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Warren, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-18.

As of now, neither Harbor Creek nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
