Basketball Recap: Shead Comes Up Short

Shead suffered their closest defeat since December 16, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Calais Blue Devils by a score of 37-34. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 46-41.

This is the second loss in a row for Shead and nudges their season record down to 9-8. As for Calais, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Shead will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Machias at 6:30 p.m. Machias will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Shead surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calais, they will head out on the road to square off against Woodland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Calais is facing Woodland at the right time seeing as Woodland is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
