Soccer Game Preview: De Pere vs. Kimberly

De Pere is 0-7-1 against Kimberly since April of 2017 but things could change on Saturday. The Redbirds will square off against the Papermakers. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

De Pere is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Green Bay Preble by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for De Pere.

Meanwhile, Kimberly hasn't lost a match since May 16th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They blew past Hortonville 4-0. Considering Kimberly have won six games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kimberly has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those 14 matches. As for De Pere, their record now sits at 10-4-3.

De Pere couldn't quite get it done against Kimberly in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 2-0. Can the Redbirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
