Basketball Game Preview: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Bethel Jaguars

The Vallejo Redhawks will take on the Bethel Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Vallejo and three for Bethel.

Last Tuesday, Vallejo was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to Pinole Valley. While the Redhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 17-12 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bethel duked it out withAlbany on Thursday. Bethel was beaten by Albany 75-48. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 517th, while the Cougars are ranked 149th).

Bethel's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Vallejo, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-19.
