16 must be Buena's lucky number: they beat The Pilgrim Academy with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Chiefs beat the Pioneers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Buena got a massive performance out of Ben Cohen, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Cohen is becoming a predictor of the Chiefs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-2 (and 5-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Richie Wilson, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.

Buena is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for The Pilgrim Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.
