Humboldt won the last time they faced Southern Coffey County and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cubs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Titans.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Humboldt took both sets by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-6.

Skylar Hottenstein had an outrageously good game as she had nine digs and nine aces.

Hottenstein wasn't the only good server: Humboldt was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in ten consecutive games.

Humboldt is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Southern Coffey County, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
