Soccer Recap: Seminole Comes Up Short

Seminole lost against Hagerty back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seminole Seminoles lost 4-0 to the Hagerty Huskies. While losing is never fun, the Seminoles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Huskies are ranked 77th).

Seminole now has a losing record at 4-5-1. As for Hagerty, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season.

Seminole will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Eustis at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Eustis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.6 goals per game this season. As for Hagerty, they will head out to face off against Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Brantley will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hagerty surely won't give up without a fight.
