Volleyball Recap: Amherst Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Amherst kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs by a score of 2-1. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Zephyrs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Amherst sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 15-13.

Among those leading the charge was Bitsy McCauley, who had 13 digs.

Amherst has already played their next match (against West Bend East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. Mary Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Random Lake on the 27th.
