Calallen has gone 9-1 against Alice recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. Calallen will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
Alice's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Calallen hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. The Wildcats' pitchers stepped up to hand Robstown a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Drayton Mitchell made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Wyatt Duke was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Lynch, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
Calallen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .655. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 13 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Alice didn't have quite enough to beat Ray on Tuesday and fell 4-3. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alice also got a good showing from Nick Lopez, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Alice saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Guerra, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Calallen pushed their record up to 22-0 with the victory, which was their 29th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Alice, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12-1.
Alice's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Calallen hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .439.
