Baseball Recap: Omaha Westside Takes a Loss

Omaha Westside was the 4-2 winner over Lincoln Northeast when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Omaha Westside fell just short of Lincoln Northeast by a score of 4-3 on Saturday.

Omaha Westside got a good showing from Jace Ostermeyer, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Andrew Tagge made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Omaha Westside's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Omaha Westside is set to square off against their familiar foe Papillion-LaVista on Monday. Meanwhile, Lincoln Northeast will face off against rival Lincoln Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give Lincoln Northeast their first taste of in-conference action this season.
