Volleyball Recap: Santa Rita Takes a Loss

Santa Rita was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Santa Rita's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for St. Augustine Catholic, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Santa Rita is set to square off against their familiar foe Benson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, St. Augustine Catholic will face off against rival Morenci at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
