Softball Recap: Murray Takes a Loss

Murray had taken East Union down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-4. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in July of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Murray and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for East Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Murray will welcome Mount Ayr at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Union, they will venture away from home to take on Mormon Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
