Basketball Game Preview: Pine Tree Pirates vs. Carthage Bulldogs

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Pine Tree beat Kilgore 35-30. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Carthage against Cumberland Academy on Friday as the squad secured a 64-27 win.

Carthage has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 18-16 record this season. As for Pine Tree, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-9.

Pine Tree suffered a grim 58-36 defeat to Carthage when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Carthage's Kaylen Igbokwe, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 17 rebounds.
