After a string of five wins, Chimacum's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 42-31 to the Cascade Christian Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-21 on January 7th.

Brooklyn Whittington went supernovafor Cascade Christian, putting up 18 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Whittington a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abby Shelton, who posted seven points along with 11 boards and three steals.

Chimacum's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Cascade Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Chimacum will welcome Bellevue Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Cascade Christian, they have already played their next contest, a 58-35 win against Vashon Island on the 27th.
