Recap: Allentown Redbirds vs. Seneca Golden Eagles
It was a good run, but The Allentown Redbirds unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Seneca on the road and fell 51-14.
Zac Fearon had a dynamite game for Seneca, rushing for 121 yards and four touchdowns. Seneca also got a significant boost from Jamar Warthen, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.
Another reason for the win was Seneca's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Allentown's QB won't forget Kingston Williams anytime soon given Williams sacked him five times.
Allentown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Seneca, their victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1.
Allentown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Seneca will head out on the road to face off against Highland Regional at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Nehemiah Butler-mayhew and Fearon.
