Softball Recap: Redbank Valley Has No Trouble Against Johnsonburg

Redbank Valley won the last time they faced Johnsonburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Rams 8-1. Considering the Bulldogs have won five games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mackenzie Foringer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Quinn White was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Bella Orr, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Redbank Valley and bumps their season record up to 10-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Johnsonburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Redbank Valley will be playing at home against Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Johnsonburg, they are taking a road trip to challenge Otto-Eldred at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
