May River is 9-1 against Colleton County since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Sharks will welcome the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. May River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

May River gave up the first goal last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Sharks who were credited with the win. May River got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Savannah Country Day's three. The final result isn't all that surprising considering May River's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 37th in South Carolina, while Savannah Country Day are ranked 231st in Georgia).

May River hit Savannah Country Day with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gea Aberle, Leila Aberle, and Madalynn Baker.

Colleton County's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Silver Bluff as they made off with an 8-0 victory. Colleton County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by eight goals or more this season.

Colleton County's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for May River, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

May River got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Colleton County by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Sharks repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
