Chanute is 8-2 against Iola since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Chanute Blue Comets will take on the Iola Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chanute is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 57-26 win over Parsons.

Meanwhile, Iola hadn't done well against Santa Fe Trail recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Iola came out on top in a nail-biter against Santa Fe Trail, sneaking past 40-37.

Chanute's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for Iola, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Chanute strolled past Iola in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 50-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chanute since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
