Bloomfield and Deming squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Bloomfield had to settle for second. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Gavin Pecotte made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Damien Jaramillo, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Deming, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

While Bloomfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
