Football Recap: East Syracuse-Minoa Takes a Loss

East Syracuse-Minoa lost against Whitesboro back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans took a hard 21-7 fall against the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Warriors are ranked 28th).

This is the second loss in a row for East Syracuse-Minoa and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Whitesboro, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Syracuse-Minoa will challenge Fowler at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitesboro, they will take on Fayetteville-Manlius at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
