There's no place like home for Eureka, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Carlin Railroaders by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Vandals as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Eureka had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-16, 25-12, 25-17.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Carlin, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Eureka will face off against Lund at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Carlin and Round Mountain will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
