Preview: Commerce vs. Charlton County
Both Charlton County and Commerce have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Friday at 7:30 PM to determine who is worthy to move on. It might come down to the wire as the match is expected to be a close one.
Charlton County came out on top in a nail-biter against Montgomery County last week, sneaking past 49 - 46. Junior Raykwon Anderson was especially active in the win, finding the end zone an impressive four times. The longest score for Anderson was a punishing, defense-defying 66-yard dash in the fourth quarter. Anderson has also now scored at least one touchdown in the past ten consecutive games. Senior AJ Bell was in the mix too, providing Charlton County with two touchdowns. As for Commerce, it claimed a 24 - 13 victory over George Walton Academy two weeks ago.
Their wins bumped Commerce and Charlton County up to an identical 8-2. We'll find out on Friday which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when Commerce and Charlton County clash.
