Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Beau Chene

Beau Chene waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Northside Christian Warriors 10-3. The Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Laci Faul made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jailah Rideau, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. A'Hnnie Guilbeau was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Beau Chene kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.

Beau Chene pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Northside Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Beau Chene will head out on the road to take on LaSalle at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northside Christian, they will face off against Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their 32nd straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
