Basketball Recap: San Juan Takes a Loss

San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Clemente Tritons. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1455th, while the Tritons are ranked 55th).

San Juan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for San Clemente, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-5.

San Juan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-31 loss against Vacaville Christian on the 4th. As for San Clemente, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-49 win against San Juan Hills on the 4th.
