Softball Recap: Patuxent Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Patuxent's offense. They came up short against the Huntingtown Hurricanes on Wednesday, falling 16-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Patuxent's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Huntingtown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coming up, Patuxent will square off against Westlake at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Huntingtown, they will take on North Point at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.45 runs per game on average), something the Hurricanes will no doubt try to take advantage of.
