Football Recap: West Bend-Mallard Comes Up Short

If West Bend-Mallard was feeling good fresh off their 58-18 takedown of North Iowa last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines took a blow against the Riceville Wildcats on Friday, falling 52-12. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

West Bend-Mallard's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Riceville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

Coming up, West Bend-Mallard will head out to take on Kingsley-Pierson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Riceville, they will host North Iowa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
