Basketball Recap: Dennis Pierre Jr.'s Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sports Leadership & Management over Donna Klein Jewish Academy

After flying high against Abundant Life Christian Academy last Monday, Sports Leadership & Management came back down to earth. The Sports Leadership & Management Giants came up short against the Donna Klein Jewish Academy Eagles on Tuesday, falling 80-60. The Giants haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Several Giants players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dennis Pierre Jr., who posted 22 points and three steals. Pierre Jr.'s evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Plewinski, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Sports Leadership & Management's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for Donna Klein Jewish Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Sports Leadership & Management will host Boca Raton Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sports Leadership & Management is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.4 points per game this season. As for Donna Klein Jewish Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-50 win against American Heritage on the 11th.
