Football Recap: Holston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Holston and Rye Cove squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Holston had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Eagles 61-14. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Eagles are ranked 89th).

Although Holston took the loss, they still got scores from Collin Widener and Eli Tweed.

Holston is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5. As for Rye Cove, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Holston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rye Cove, they will head out on the road to face off against Chilhowie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 8.2 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
