Game recap

MCLEANSVILLE, N.C. - Ragsdale (Jamestown, N.C.) jumped out to an early lead against Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, N.C.) and never looked back on the way to a 26-7 victory on Saturday.

The Tigers put up 13 points in the opening frame. Ragsdale scored on a Jerry Gaither touchdown run and a touchdown run by Gaither.

After taking the lead on a Gaither touchdown run in the first quarter, RHS led 13-7 at the half.

The Jamestown school expanded its lead to 19 points entering the fourth quarter. The Tigers scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Mike Hukill to T.J Parker.

Northeast Guilford's only touchdown came on a 12-yard pass in the second quarter.

The win was a nice bounce back for Ragsdale, which lost to Dudley last week, 34-7. The victory ended Ragsdale's two-game losing streak.
