Softball Recap: Durand Takes a Loss

Durand was the 7-1 winner over Chesaning when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Railroaders fell just short of the Indians by a score of 5-4 on Monday. The Railroaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Minto spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, MaKenzie Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Durand's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Chesaning, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Durand will challenge Stockbridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chesaning, they will take on Alma at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
