Softball Recap: Amherst County Takes a Loss

Amherst County fell victim to Appomattox County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 7-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Lancers were not able to get on the board.

Amherst County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Appomattox County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Amherst County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Rustburg on the 4th. As for Appomattox County, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-1 victory against Altavista on the 4th.
